Being a Chattanooga senior portraits photographer, oftentimes I get lucky enough to work with best friends, and Jenna’s session was no different. Jenna’s Chickamauga Battlefield outdoor session was absolutely incredible, and so special. We spent time exploring areas that were meaningful to her, and her story, we even had a couple of friends tag along for the event. She’s great friends with Ava, who I was lucky enough to work with this year as well!

Bringing friends to your session is a great way to have fun, and feel comfortable taking pictures! Having Ava at Jenna’s session was so much fun, Ava cheered Jenna on throughout the session and it was a blast. Jenna went to Ava’s session as well to support her, so having Ava at Jenna’s session was so much fun. This Chickamauga Battlefield outdoor session was full of adventure, laughter and so many special moments.

Chickamauga Battlefield Outdoor Session

First, we started at the battlefield, and it was breathtaking. Filled with incredibly greenery and tall trees, it made for the perfect secluded senior session. Jenna wore a beautiful blue dress that was incredible to photograph and so flattering on her! It was a great reflection of her personality. Throughout the Chickamauga Battlefield outdoor session you can see Jenna laughing because Ava continued to make her laugh, and made it so much fun.

Next up, was her Grandmother’s home. Jenna wanted to showcase some locations that really made her who she is today, and celebrating her grandparents was important to her. So we did just that! Working with Jenna was such a blessing, she’s so authentic, and just genuinely herself. It was super fun to see her just embrace who she is. Jenna attends Girl’s Preparatory School and is a strong Christian. She’s not only passionate about her faith, she celebrates it.

Being a Christian myself it was so unique to see a young woman like Jenna so strong in her faith. She’s just a genuine Christian girl, and I am still so obsessed with her strength, humility and grace she showed throughout her Chickamauga Battlefield outdoor session.

Grandma’s House

Jenna’s grandpa passed away recently and she wanted to include him in her session. When we arrived at her Grandma’s home we went straight to her grandpa’s old blue pickup truck. Using her grandpa’s truck throughout her session was so special, and you could feel the love in this area. The sun was pretty bright and golden when we were over there, and I’d like to think that was Jenna’s grandpa winking down at her, showing his love.

It was such a simple but special way to include family and make Jenna’s outdoor session that much more unique to her. I am so blessed to be able to work with the seniors I do, and can’t wait to work with 2023 seniors!
