Diversity is something that I strive to showcase in my business and when working with my seniors. I want to show off what makes seniors unique and special, whether that be their race, hobbies, body types, etc. Throughout the years I have seen photographers marketing a singular body type, or type of person. The uniqueness has vanished from their business. As a senior photographer in Tennessee I strive to welcome any seniors with open arms, and have loved being able to show off their individuality and what makes them unique in a respectful and appropriate manner.

I may not understand, but I’m going to try to every single day. As a Caucasian woman, I will never understand the difficulties faced by people of color or different cultures, but that doesn’t mean I can’t work overtime to celebrate them and love them individually. Diversity to me is more than just a different culture, or skin color, it’s about different body types, hobbies, cultures, and skin color. It’s being different, in any way, shape or form. I am always one that strives to work hard to try and understand and showcase differences, because they are what make you unique and beautiful.

Your Differences Make You Stand Out.

Your differences are what make you, you! God created you specifically, you think that He would make a mistake? God knows us all individually, and sees our beauty within. Now it’s time to showcase that, and embrace our differences, and love ourselves the way God does.

As a business, I will continually strive to look for opportunities to diversify, educate, and grow. It’s imperative that as a community we realize that we are all in this together, and we need to support each other.

Our differences are what make us unique, and special. I’m sick of companies showing the same look over and over. While years have gone on, we’ve seen the necessity of embracing diversity in this world. Showcasing people of color, those with disabilities, varying body types, and so much more. It’s ok to be different, and you will always be celebrated when working with me.

Diversity is Beautiful

Society has taught us that you have to be a certain size, shape and color to be considered beautiful. We’re changing all of that and focusing on our differences, and what makes us individually beautiful and special. Diversity is beautiful, and together we can come together and celebrate. The next generation are in the most danger of us all. They are so impressionable and easily molded at this age, and as their role models it’s our job to change the narrative. Teach self love, confidence, and that their uniqueness is valued. Teach them the importance of respect, and love to everyone. Lastly, teach them that no matter what society says, they are beautiful.
