There’s something genuinely magical about downtown Chattanooga senior pictures in the river, and Lauren’s senior session brought that magic to life in the most beautiful way.
Lauren is a senior at Girls Preparatory School and will attend the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga this fall. To celebrate this special season of life, she wanted a senior session that captured both her love for the city and her free-spirited personality. We started the evening at the West End, where we soaked up all the modern architecture and clean, urban lines. Then we made our way to Broad Street to capture that lively downtown vibe — perfect for someone about to take on the world.
After embracing the cityscape, we crossed over to Coolidge Park and Renaissance Park for a change of scenery. The natural elements there brought a soft, whimsical feel to Lauren’s gallery, and her playful, joyful spirit came through in every shot.
But Lauren had one very special request: she wanted senior pictures taken in the Tennessee River. She brought the dreamiest white dress, and as the sun dipped lower in the sky, we made our way to the water. Watching Lauren step barefoot into the river was such a decisive moment — it felt symbolic of stepping into a new chapter with courage, beauty, and grace. If you’re looking for inspiration for downtown Chattanooga senior pictures in the river, Lauren’s session is the perfect example of how meaningful and breathtaking these portraits can be.
Lauren’s session was a reminder of how powerful senior portraits can be when they are deeply personal. I’m so grateful she trusted me to help tell this part of her story through these photographs.
Lauren’s reaction to her photos: “Lexie, you make me look and feel so beautiful!”
